     AFRICAN PYGMY HEDGEHOGS

African pygmy hedgehogs are tiny when fully grown, weighing only 1/2 a pound to 1 1/4 pounds.

Hedgehogs are solitary animals & prefer to live alone. However, two pet females can sometimes get along once reared together.

They take time to bond with new owners but once bonded they are great pets. They love to play with tunnels & wheels.

African pygmy hedgehogs are a nocturnal, exotic animals & have specific needs for housing, diet & care. They need to be kept at room temperature. They are mostly active at night, however, they will come out during the day if there is something interesting going on.

As all of my hedgehogs are well handled & socialised from an early age, hoglets go to their new homes happy & confident.
